How to make better use of UltraPic's Refine Mask feature?

UltraPic's "refine mask" feature is one of its core strengths, allowing you to precisely control details after automatic image cropping to achieve perfect image background processing results. Here are some tips on how to make better use of this feature.

Refine Mask: Fixing Imperfections Along the Edges of the Image

If imperfections appear along the edges of the image after using UltraPic to automatically remove the background, you can utilize the "Refine mask" feature for precise editing.

The Steps of Using Refine Mask

Step 1: Click "Refine mask".
First, locate and click the “Refine mask” option to enter the manual editing interface.

Step 2: Manually "Erase" or "Add".
Erase: remove unnecessary background or edge parts from the image.
Add: to restore accidentally deleted image areas.
Brush Size: Adjust the brush size as needed for more precise detail handling.

Step 3: Adjust Overlay Color and Opacity Settings.
You can change the color and opacity of the overlay mask here.
Note:
The Overlay Color here is only used to help you view and adjust the detail area.
It will not change the background color of your final image.

Step 4: Click “Apply”.
After completing the detail adjustments, click the “Apply” button to save your changes.

Other Functions

During the image masking adjustment process, some convenient auxiliary functions are provided above the image:

Move or edit the image
You can quickly zoom in/out on the canvas view using the mouse wheel, which is convenient for quickly and accurately drawing details. You can also hold down the middle mouse button and drag to move the canvas display position. Alternatively, you can switch to the “Move Canvas (hand shape)” function at the top to move the canvas.

Undo and Redo
Undo: undo the previous operation.
Redo: restore the previously undone operation.
Reset: If you are unsatisfied with the changes made in the current step, click “Reset” to restore the image to its state before entering the “Adjust Cutout” step.

Common shortcut keys
Zoom canvas view: Middle mouse button scroll wheel.
Move canvas: Hold down the middle mouse button and drag, or hold down the space bar + left mouse button and drag.
Move object: Select the object, then hold down the left mouse button and drag.
Move object: Select the object, then press the up, down, left, or right arrow keys. Move the object by 1 pixel each time.
Move objects: After selecting an object, hold down Shift + press the up, down, left, or right arrow keys. Move the object by 10 pixels at a time.
